Virtual Reality Fire Fighting Simulation

The Center for Simulation, Imaging and Modeling in Medicine (CeMSIM) is recruiting undergraduate and graduate students to participate in a study investigating human behavior in a virtual environment. Participants will be given a $25 gift card for their participation. The duration of the study is March 12th – 15th, 2019, 9 am – 5 pm.  Participants can choose one day of the week they wish to participate in the study. The whole section will be less than 30 minutes.

This study is intended to train trainees on how to extinguish a fire occurring in a virtual Operating Room (OR). Participants will wear an HTC VIVE headset and hold motion tracking controllers to practice, and their motion trajectories will be recorded by a OR fire simulator.
